Located within a park of century-old trees in an enchanting corner of the hills in the Municipality of San Lazzaro di Savena, just a few kilometres from Bologna, Villa Valfiore is a place where tradition and hospitality converge to create charming and elegant surroundings.

Today, this secluded corner, which has remained untouched by the passage of time, offers its welcome guests a location of the highest order.

During the renovation work on the building complex, the continual search for harmony with the surrounding environment found expression in the selection of the most appropriate finishings (flooring, lighting, tone of textiles, etc), to create an atmosphere of total wellbeing.
The Hotel has ample underground parking, allowing direct and discreet access to the Villa and all amenities, thus safeguarding the exclusivity of the entire park area, which remains completely accessible to pedestrians. This ensures that you can enjoy your stay cushioned by silence and tranquillity, far from the rush and noise of everyday.
One area of the park that can be reached by following an attractive pathway through the trees, houses the small Church and Oratory of Saint Sebastian and Saint Rocco, built in 1604 for the protection of fields and herds, and still bears testimony to the history and memories of the time. This has now been attentively restored, and is available to host small intimate ceremonies, in a unique location and surroundings that will make for unforgettable memories.

Rooms
The 23 rooms are located in a main building, as well as two smaller buildings. They have been elegantly furnished in order to offer guests the utmost comfort and the possibility of enjoying "historical architecture" in the Bolognese countryside. The atmosphere created is the result of a meticulous restoration of a Villa of the 1700s furnishing in the style of that era and evoking a somber elegance and hospitality.

All the rooms enjoy a beautiful view of the gardens and a country panorama of the surrounding hills. The guests can choose among 9 junior suites, equipped with every comfort. Two of these, are located in a dependance and guarantee complete intimacy and tranquility. The dependence is accessible via a short walk through the gardens.

The sauna
The sauna eliminates toxic substances, through perspiration, water and by increasing the activity of the sebaceous glands. The increase in body temperature has beneficial effects on the muscles, which relax and reduce tension
Massage therapy
The use of massage therapy as a way to eliminate fatigue, alleviate pain, relax and allow for an easier application of oils and ointments to the skin, is lost in the passage of time. It probably represents the oldest form of medical treatment.
Multi-sensory shower
The multi-sensory shower which is recommended after a steam bath or sauna is a jet of fresh vaporised water, consisting of fine drops of water enriched by aromatic, light and sound sensations, which relax and at the same time, invigorate the mind and body, and are combined with the benefits of chromotherapy. Extremely useful in refreshing the body and restoring the correct level of hydration to the skin, and returning proper vascular tone to the circulatory system.

Restaurant
The restaurant and breakfast area created from the old basement cellars, face on to the two courtyards on the side of the Villa, and enjoy direct access and views of the parks surrounding the entire complex.

The brick vaulted area of the small restaurant maintains the same atmosphere as the original setting, and is tempered and enhanced with old Eastern furnishings, offering diners the flavours found in the fresh produce from the area, all irreplaceable ingredients in the preparation of the best regional dishes and faithful interpretations of local cuisine.
The wine cellar holds a selection of prestigious labels, offering wines produced in the renowned surrounding vineyards and selected from the best cellars in the area.

This atmosphere of elegant simplicity and quality therefore provides the ideal framework for a restful interval in which to catch your breath, or conduct a discreet business meeting.
